Favorite thing about working at the Credit Union?
I love learning about our member and team member stories and the solutions that we have been able to offer to help make a positive impact on those stories!
Fun fact about yourself?
My wife and I both speak German.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
FAMILY FAMILY FAMILY. Although they are far away, I love spending time everyday talking to my 3 grandsons.
Favorite place you’ve been and why?
On a boat in the middle of a lake with my kids. It was nice to have them all trapped on a boat and just spend time with them. I loved those days!
Favorite movie/TV Show and why?
I am a Marvel Nerd, but my all-time favorite has to be the original Iron Man movie.
Do you have a favorite quote? What is it?
My favorite quote is actually a poem – “When you get what you want in your struggle for self and the world makes you king for a day, just go to the mirror and look at yourself and see what that man has to say. For it isn’t your father or mother or wife whose judgement upon you must pass, but the person whose verdict counts most in your life is the one staring back from the glass. You may be like Jack Horner and chisel a plum and think you’re a wonderful guy, but the man in the glass says you’re only a bum if you can’t look him straight in the eye. He’s the fellow to please never mind all the rest for he’s with you clear up to the end, and you’ve past your most dangerous difficult test if the man in the glass is your friend. You may fool this whole world down the pathway of years and get pats on your back as you pass, but your final reward will be heartache and tears if you’ve cheated the man in the glass.”
Donation of Winner’s Choosing
As a part of the award, the Credit Union will donate $50 to the organization of the winner’s choosing, on their behalf. This quarter $50 will be donated to: Tri-County Humane Society. Tri-County Humane Society is an independent nonprofit animal shelter in St. Cloud, Minnesota. TCHS has been providing quality services to the people and animals of Central Minnesota since 1974.
U&I Care Nomination:
We would like to nominate Brant for the U&I Care award. Now, we could use any of the acronyms, and they would all equally work, but we wanted to specifically address two that we thought hit harder than the rest:
Innovation & Authenticity!
We choose Innovation for the sheer definition of “I will be your solution advocate.”
As we all know, the lending department went through a change in management earlier this summer and are still looking to fill the position of Chief Lending Officer. Brant rolled up his sleeves and dove in headfirst. Not like this guy doesn’t have enough to do already, adding interim Chief Lending Officer to his plate is a hefty portion.
Same goes for Authenticity, he has been nothing but honest and present! Being part of meetings and Teams calls, making himself completely available for exception-related lending solutions when Loan Officers and Underwriting need him! He’s making decisions and calls that need to be made so we can get back to lending the way we need to in this market!
For that we cannot thank you enough for being our advocate. For being present and available. When we need you, you are there!
