Loan Payment Options

Having convenient payment methods, matters.

With Great River, it’s easy to make a secure loan payment. Take a look at the options available to you below, and we’ll walk you through how they work.

Online Banking

Make a loan payment 24/7 by simply transferring funds from your Great River checking or savings account, directly to your loan.

 

New to Online Banking?

For payments transferred within your Great River account:

  • Just login to Online Banking
  • Select “Move Money” in the top navigation
  • Select “Make a Transfer” in the pull down
  • Select the “To” and “From” accounts, choose a send date, dollar amount, and click “Make Transfer”
  • For your convenience, you can set-up a recurring auto-transfer by clicking “Repeat Transfer”

For Payments from another financial institution:

  • Login to Online Banking
  • Select “Move Money” in the top navigation
  • Select “External Transfers” in the pull down
  • Enter the required information and click “continue”
  • For your convenience, you can also make this payment recurring

GRFCU Visa Payments

  • Pay your GRFCU Visa through online banking by going to the “Credit Card” tab in the top navigation menu.

Direct Debit & ACH

No more wasting checks to make your loan payments.  Great River offers the convenience of direct debit/ACH.

Our Loan Officers will offer to set-up direct debit, during the initial processing/closing of the loan.  If this service wasn’t previously set-up, please follow the steps noted in the “How does it work?” box.

How does it work?

By signing the Auto Pay Form, you can automatically debit your account at Great River or another financial institution, for the payment of your Great River loan.

You may also stop in at any of our branches; or contact a Member Advisor, to set-up Auto Payments at 320.252.5393.

Frequency:

For Great River Accounts, auto-pay can be set-up on weekly or bi-weekly schedules, based on your payroll calendar or desired loan payment frequency.

Auto payments from other financial institutions can be set-up to be paid on the 1st, 8th, 15th or 22nd of the month.

ProPay

Have you ever had “one of those days” and realized your loan payment was due?  If you don’t have a checking or savings account with Great River, you can still make your loan payment on time, by using ProPay.

ProPay is a third-party service provider who allows you to securely process online payments to your Great River Federal Credit Union loan using your Visa/Mastercard – Debit Card, or your routing and account number from another financial institution.

To Make a ProPay Payment:

  • Click the “Make Payment” button to enter Great River’s payment portal.
  • Enter your email address and last four digits of your social security number to set-up an account. You will also be asked to create your own PIN.
  • Use your Visa/Mastercard Debit Card or enter your routing and account number from any financial institution
  • Submit the payment*
  • Payments will be applied to the loan on the next business day
  • Once you are enrolled, you can login to your portal at any time and view payment history, schedule new payments, and change payment methods.

*Note: There is a $4.95 service charge assessed by ProPay for online payments.  As an added convenience, we can take your payment by phone by calling 320.252.5393.  There is a $15.95 charge for employee-assisted payments through ProPay.

Minimum transaction amount: $1.00.
Maximum Transaction Amount:  The lesser of the payoff amount or $3,000.
