Courtesy Pay is a service that allows us to pay an item presented for payment against your checking account, even if it causes the account to become overdrawn. This may include checks (share drafts), ACH (automatic payments), Bill Pay transactions, and other recurring debit transactions. *Also opt in to cover debit card and ATM transactions.
How does it work?
- Automatically honors insufficient fund transactions up to $500
- $35 per item fee will apply
- Checking account must be in good standing* and open for at least 60 days
- Covers checks and other transactions made using your checking account number, automatic bill payments, and recurring debit transactions. Must opt in for debit card and ATM transactions.
We pay overdrafts at our discretion, which means we do not guarantee that we will always authorize and pay any type of transaction. If we do not authorize and pay an overdraft, your transaction will be declined.
If you have established other overdraft protection methods, such as an automatic transfer from savings, or an Overdraft Line of credit, we will always look to pay any overdraft using those methods first, before utilizing Courtesy Pay.
