Community Involvement Matters!

Community brings people together, that’s why it matters. It connects us and gives us a sense of belonging. At Great River, we believe it’s our responsibility to give back to the communities we serve. We do this through several initiatives including, Great Random Acts of Kindness, Great River Gives Back, Employee Volunteerism, and CUForward Week. Though our neighbors may change, the community vision we strive for remains the same. We love our communities and believe in this vision so much that we’ve built it into our brand mission. We give all employees, full or part-time, 8 paid hours of volunteer time each year. Recently, we gave to Big Lake Elementary School, Foley Area Schools, Mississippi Heights Elementary Media Center, and Terebinth Refuge through our Great River Gives Back initiative. As part of Random Acts of Kindness, we gave customized coffee cup sleeves to Rock Creek Coffeehouse, coffee gift cards to licensed teachers at MHES, delivered flowers to local nursing homes, and delivered a well deserved lunch to the St Cloud Police Department. Our team values volunteering and a highlight for many is cleaning local road ditches through the Adopt-A-Highway program.
