Great River Federal Credit Union has been fortunate to have Deb Hofmann as a dedicated and respected employee since 1993, however her history with the credit union began much earlier. Deb remembers coming to the credit union as a young girl with her father, who was a member of the credit union when it was originally known as the Machinists Federal Credit Union. It was the welcoming atmosphere and how well her dad was treated by the staff that she remembers most. Deb became a member herself, and when choosing a career, knew she wanted to be part of the credit union. She appreciated that the people truly cared, and has made that a guiding force in how she makes decisions, always for the betterment of the members and the staff. Deb was originally hired 25 years ago as a teller, but quickly advanced, taking every opportunity to learn the business of the credit union. Throughout her years she has held many different positions including Lending, Administration Support, Human Resources, Training & Staff Development, Compliance and Retail Management. She was the Chief Compliance Officer for 15 years, and recently the Chief Retail Officer before achieving the highest position at the credit union as the Interim CEO. Deb is a lifelong resident of the St. Cloud area and in her retirement she plans to spend time with family and friends, indulge in her passion for garden and design, and has many travel plans.
